Music award shows are special because they bring various artists together under one roof to celebrate one passion they all have in common which is music. This year’s Grammy Awards did more than bring different artists under one roof. It brought various musicians to perform together for one night. Here is the list of mesh up performances at the Grammy Awards on Sunday
Nine Inch Nails, Queens Of The Stone Age, Dave Grohl, & Lindsey Buckingham, Medley- This was a pure Rock performance at the Grammys. Instead of singing Dave Grohl rocked out on the drums just like he did in the days with Nirvana.
Robin Thicke & Chicago, Medley – This performance begins with Thicke contributing his vocals to Chicago songs and it ends with Thicke’s hit Blurred Lines.
Sir Paul McCartney & Ringo Starr, “Queenie Eye” – The last two members of the Beatles reunite to perform McCartney’s song. During this performance Yoko Ono (wife of John Lennon) was dance in the in the audience.
Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Merle Haggard & Blake Shelton, Medley – This performance was great for music lovers who enjoy Country Music.
Metallica & Lang Lang, “One – This is the first time that Rock and Classical Music has come together as one.
Keith Urban & Gary Clark, Jr., “Cop Car”- This is another Country performance that had gone well on Grammy night.
Sara Bareilles & Carol King, “Brave” & “Beautiful“– These are two singers who can play piano and that have beautiful voices.
Imagine Dragons & Kendrick Lamar, “Radioactive” & “M.A.A.D. City – This performance does well mixing Rock and Rap music together. It got some celebrities to get out of their seats and dance a little.
Daft Punk, Pharrell & Stevie Wonder, “Get Lucky”- The performance got everyone who attended the Grammys up and out of their seats. It also got a standing ovation.
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Mary Lambert & Madonna, “Same Love”- During this performance Queen Latifah officiates a mass wedding and the Queen of Pop Madonna sings her song Open Your Heart.
The Grammy’s this year really showed what music award shows are about which is getting musicians together to celebrate music. Can next year’s Grammys top this year’s award show? Only time will tell.
